 Hi phoenix here. This term the most thing i like was art - portraits because we get to colour in with Colouring pencils and whenever were drawing ourselves or something else my class we colour ourselves in with pastel .

Today,kauri  Team attended a workshop in the morning  run by kainga ora. We learnt about how the different jobs people in the construction business  have when planning and building new houses, road and parks. I had a great time, especially when I got to sit in the digger and the large truck.

What was a major success for us in Term One, in Room 8?

This term Room 8 got to meet our new teacher. His name is Mr Moore and his first  name is Thomas. We had to help him get around the school . We had to show him where everything is in class. 

My big success this term was in Inquiry. I made a fact file about jellyfish really fast. Our class went to the Community Cleanup and I picked up lots of rubbish, I went inside the bushes to pick rubbish up. I made a blog about my Easter holiday which I really liked. Our class did well at the Kauri fun splash. I did back strokes,bucket race, flutter board and lots of other ones.    

Overall I enjoyed my time in Room 8 in Term One.  

The Easter Holiday

 On Easter I had an easter egg hunt  at church.On Saturday I went to  my other church  for a easter camp but we didn't sleep  there. My cousins were sad because we didn't sleep there so we had a big lunch everyone was full. After that everyone had to go upstairs to  do some prayers and to be good.We had to dance.

Pro and Cons of Lockdown Learning

Last week we had a lockdown.The pros of lockdown learning are sleeping late you can stay in bed in the morning and you dont have to wakeup early in the morning and you dont have to make your lunch in the morning and you dont have to get out of bed.The cons of lockdown leaning are you can't go and see your friends and no candy shopping and you cant go to the gym or the pools.
